A.W.A.K.E.’s deconstructed silhouettes and sartorial cuts

A.W.A.K.E. is a young fashion house founded in 2012 by designer Natalia Alaverdian, former fashion editor, stylist and photographer. The brand – whose acronym stands for “All Wonderful Adventures Kindle Enthusiasm” – is all about the perfect balance between impeccable sartorial cut and high-quality textiles.

Alaverdian was fashion editor for five years at “Harper’s Bazaar Russia”, then started working as stylist and art director. After years in the fashion business deciding how clothes should be worn, she took the opportunity to start her own label, capitalizing on her experience in silhouettes and cuts. Pieces by A.W.A.K.E. quickly featured in magazines such as “Vogue” and “Elle”, and soon were noted by Kanye West. The brand is now one of Kim Kardashian’s favorites, as her look on numerous occasions attests. Alaverdian plays and experiments with cuts, deconstructs silhouettes and adds severity or – going the opposite way – creates ample, show stopping dresses. For celebrities and fashion addicts, her style is love at first sight.
