Marble and steel contrast soft velvet. Bottle green and powder pink vibrate and complement the sky blue walls. The Beirut restaurant Kaléo welcomes its clientele in a pleasant and cozy space that is brimming with contrasts. Cheerful and bright, the venue focuses on color and modern decor, inspired by Scandinavian shapes and a super-modern palette.
Everything here reflects the metropolitan and chaotic rhythm and atmospheres of downtown Beirut. Interiors were designed by architect duo David Raffoul and Nicolas Moussallem, who used the toothy jaws of a shark as a running theme in the decor and chose massive complements such as the 4-meter, custom-made chandelier that dominates the pink marble bar counter. The menu is full of creative suggestions and includes dishes from contemporary European cuisine and seasonal, gourmand recipes, as well as sumptuous desserts such as an amazing pavlova.
