Born and raised in Venezuela, 29-year-old Fernando Cobelo has been living in Turin, Italy for a long time. He is an architect with a passion for drawing, communication and all visual arts in general.
His pen illustrations reveal a poetic and delicate world, rigorously in black and white. His “The Ordinary Young Man” series provides a glimpse into the daily life of an “ordinary” and slightly naive thirty-something, who lives in a simple world and goes through the typical moods and feelings of his generation. He dreams and falls in love, suffers, feels sadness and joy, is able to hate or cry. Fernando Cobelo’s protagonist never speaks a word, yet is able to represent the average man and his aspirations in great simplicity, thanks to the universal nature of his message.
