What project "Forma Anticum" really is remains a mystery. But that's no reason not to speak of it, and most of all, admire it. Currently it's just a page on Tumblr and a portfolio page of a profile on Behance, in the name of two Parisian graphic designers: Florent Quintus and Stephen Brusson.

For the time being it appears to be about three-dimensional sculptures. Elegant compositions perfectly stylized around the recurring idea of the totem.

Formal simplicity is supported by a hypothetical technique or sophisticated design technology. The materials represented deviate from their function to be sublimated by self-serving aesthetics – a compendium of the most à la mode trends in graphic and object design.

The designers play with contrasts, for example glass/marble or metal/wood, combinations that might seem impractical, but that in reality work well and release new energies. A way of experimenting with materials so as to exalt their sensuality and beauty through a formal language.
