German Gymnasium, old Europe

It was the first gym in England, built for the Olympic Games of 1866: German Gymnasium is located in a 19th century building by architect Edward A. Gruning that rises in the heart of the animated area of King's Cross in London. Today it hosts a gourmet restaurant that harps back to the tradition of Austrian bistros of the past.

The dishes offered by head chef Björn Wassmuth are of Mittel-European inspiration. This is a place to come for lunch, dinner, to have a meal somewhere steeped in history and charm, on two floors plus spacious heated terraces.
