Papi Chulo: Latin American style at the Sydney harbor

The new place for Latin American cuisine is on the dock of Sidney’s harbor, beckoning with delicious dishes and a welcoming atmosphere. With a concept by Akin Creative, the venue extends over 400 square meters and looks right over the water.

The space is contemporary, full of light and pale colors: a timeless classic curated down to the smallest details, with furniture made by local craftspeople. Green is the king hue of the interiors: it’s in the grand, elegant marble counter, in the metal seats and in the sorbet-tinted Drucker rattan chairs. The large, solid wood tables with metal details echo industrial style, while vintage shutters come all the way from Argentina and tall barstools are by Thonet. Food is in the good hands of chefs Patrick Friesen and Christopher Hogarth, who create dishes inspired by Brazilian cuisine and a passion for grilling, with splendid seafood and the added touch of fresh and innovative flavors.
