At the Swedish School of textiles in Borås, where she's currently studying, Lisa Viola Setterberg designed a collection whose structure is entirely based on a geometric shape, the triangle.

In fact the collection is called "The Triangle" and is composed of one of the most recurring figures in history throughout various cultures, which together with other shapes and symbols often represented the divine in esoteric and alchemic traditions.

In the collection of the Swedish fashion student we find the triangle as the basic geometric element, used not only in its two-dimensional version but also as a non-planar shape.

In the beginning Lisa experimented without sewing. Then she continued with three-dimensional construction, making try outs by sewing triangles on plain fabric, twisting and turning it to work with both sides. An exploration of the triangle in material manipulation and construction, to define new and interesting forms and compositions.
