The Warehouse Hotel: between heritage and modernity

A modern structure that will not forget its heritage: the Warehouse Hotel was built in 1895 near the Strait of Malacca, on the Singapore river. Today, the Lo & Behold group has transformed the complex into a boutique hotel, recreating the atmospheres of a time when this was the distillery district, most notably by maintaining the original high ceilings and industrial details.
The project was led by Zarch Collaboratives and designed by Asylum. The rooms are furnished with pieces made locally and include materials such as rattan and leather – case in point: the large hall’s sofas. Natural hues mix with cement gray and give the space great personality, as well as a welcoming and relaxing vibe. Luxury choices take the renovation to the next level: the rooftop swimming pool, for example, offers a beautiful view over the Singapore river.
